The service

Yarrow is a reading and citation service for public-domain texts and the agents that read them, and a place where people and their agents publish stories and worlds. By using it you agree to these terms.

The public-domain texts are from Project Gutenberg, the Internet Archive, Wikisource and similar archives, served as exact text with their upstream source named. Public-domain status is stated per source and may differ by country; Yarrow does not grant any reuse right beyond what the source and the law already allow, and does not provide legal advice.

Citations and Reader links point to the text Yarrow hosts. Yarrow names the upstream text and does not attribute an edition year it has not recorded. If you find an error in a text, its source or its attribution, tell us.

Your account is yours. Kept lines, saved works, notes and reading positions belong to you; Yarrow stores them to show them back to you and never publishes them. You can export and delete them.

An agent connection acts only within the scopes you approved on Yarrow, for as long as the grant lasts, and only on your own record. You are responsible for the host and agent you connect; Yarrow is responsible for honouring your approval and your revocation.

Reading, citing and exporting the public-domain texts stays free. What readers pay for, and what contributors are paid, is in the sections below.

Do not use Yarrow to overload it, to scrape it beyond the published API budgets, to impersonate someone (including Yarrow or its staff), or to publish others' private material. Yarrow may rate-limit, suspend or remove access or content that breaks these rules.

The service is provided as is, without warranty, and may change or pause; Yarrow's liability is limited to the extent the law allows. These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Korea. They exist in Korean and English with the same meaning; if they differ, the reading more favourable to you applies.

Buying and reading

Yarrow sells subscriptions and single episodes; [provider] processes the payment as merchant of record and its buyer terms also apply. Prices are shown before you tap and come from Yarrow's versioned price table. Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled on the Billing page. You may withdraw within 14 days of subscribing or 7 days of a renewal payment and receive the payment minus the paid episodes you opened at the single-episode price. Episodes opened one at a time are billed monthly and cannot be cancelled once opened; the first three episodes of every story are free to read first. Episodes you open stay readable without end, including after you cancel. If the law requires an episode to be removed, Yarrow refunds its price to readers who opened it one at a time and does not refund subscribers, and reading it after cancelling ends too. A higher subscription price applies only after you agree to it.

Contributor and world-owner terms

One check on the sign and publish screens covers these five plain lines. Each has the clauses that explain it.

  1. You keep your copyright. You give anyone who uses your work under these rules, Yarrow included, a non-exclusive licence; Yarrow shows and sells your work in its own name, within the preset you choose. (Details: clauses 2–4)
  2. When work built on yours sells, your share comes to you automatically, for as long as Yarrow sells it. There is no advance. (Details: clause 6)
  3. Yarrow is the only seller and sets the prices. Each sale is split author 70, upstream 15, Yarrow 15 by the public formula recorded when the work is published, and anyone can recompute it. (Details: clause 6)
  4. You can stop new sales or close your world at any time, 30 days after notice. What is already published stays, readers keep what they opened, and shares keep coming. (Details: clause 10)
  5. You promise you have the rights, tell the truth about AI participation and follow the content policy. Yarrow acts only by published rules, tells you why, and gives you one appeal. (Details: clauses 5, 7)

Contributor terms, version contributor-terms-v0.3

  1. Who agrees. These terms are between Yarrow, operated by [Business name], a sole proprietorship registered in the Republic of Korea (business registration [registration no.], mail-order registration [mail-order no.], [address]), and you, the person or company whose Yarrow account publishes a story, an episode, a fork or a world. An agent connected to your account acts for you, and what it publishes is published by you.
  2. What you keep. You keep the copyright in what you create. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership. Public-domain sources, including the original texts a worldbook anchors to, belong to no one.
  3. The licence you give. You give anyone who uses your work under these rules, Yarrow included, a non-exclusive, worldwide licence, paid as clause 6 describes, for as long as clause 10 allows. Yarrow holds that licence as one user: it shows and sells your work in its own name and pays your share as clause 6 describes. Any other operator that keeps the same rules and the same settlement holds the same licence, and where this clause says Yarrow it then means that operator. The licence is to:
    1. host, reproduce, display, transmit and sell your work on Yarrow's website, its REST interface and its MCP service, by subscription and per episode;
    2. give each reader who opens an episode a lasting, personal and non-transferable right to read it, keep it in their Library and export it for their own reading;
    3. send the text a reader has opened, up to the point where they continue, to the agent that reader connected, so that it can read, cite and write the reader's private continuation;
    4. show your free episodes, excerpts and citations, and write and show descriptions and promotional copy about your work, including copy written with the help of language models Yarrow uses as tools (clause 8.3);
    5. keep the copies needed for the ledger, the evidence record, backups and legal obligations.

    For a world, the licence covers your worldbook: the entries marked as newly added, their selection and arrangement, style notes, fork points, sample passages and the plates you own. Yarrow may show it, deliver it to agents as a skill and through MCP, and let people write works in your world within its preset. You may license the same work or world anywhere else.

  4. What others may build.
    1. You choose a preset for each work and world: read-only, fork-allowed or fork-commercial-on-request. The preset's own text, versioned and shown on the work's or world's page, says whether others may publish forks of it or works set in it on Yarrow, whether they may sell them, and whether your approval comes first. Under read-only no one may publish them. The preset also says whether training use (clause 8.2) is on.
    2. Within your preset you permit the making and use of derivative works (continuations, forks, works set in your world), and you consent to Yarrow passing that permission on to Yarrow's users, only on Yarrow and only within your preset.
    3. Under every preset, a reader may have their own agent continue your story privately from the end of an episode they opened. A private continuation stays visible only to that reader. Publishing it needs a preset that allows public forks.
    4. Whoever writes the new part of a fork or a work set in your world owns that new part.
    5. A fork can never have a wider preset than its parent. If you narrow your preset, works already published keep the preset they were published under.
    6. To the extent the law allows, you will not object on grounds of the integrity of your work to forks and works made within your preset.
  5. Your promises. You confirm that:
    1. you hold the rights to everything you publish, or it uses only public-domain material and material licensed to you for use here;
    2. it does not copy anyone else's protected work without permission, including a world or characters still protected by copyright, unless its owner opened that world on Yarrow under a preset that allows your use;
    3. your declaration of AI participation is true, and the terms of the model services you used allow you to publish and sell their output;
    4. the entries and parents you declare when you publish are the ones your work used;
    5. it follows the content policy version you or your agent confirmed when publishing.

    If a promise is untrue and a claim follows, Yarrow may stop selling the work and hold its unpaid shares until the claim is resolved, and you will cover the losses the untrue promise caused Yarrow.

  6. Money.
    1. Prices. Yarrow sells to readers and sets the prices in its published, versioned price table. You choose whether a story is free or paid. Every story's first three episodes are free; you may make more episodes free, never fewer. Readers open paid episodes by subscription or one episode at a time.
    2. What counts as a sale. A per-episode open is a sale of that episode at its price. Each subscriber's monthly fee is divided among the paid episodes that subscriber opened that month, by character count, counting each episode as at least 5,000 characters. A fee from a subscriber who opened nothing that month stays with Yarrow. Shares are computed on the amount paid after the payment-cost deduction and taxes stated in the formula version.
    3. The split. Author 70, upstream 15, Yarrow 15. The upstream part goes to the worlds whose newly added entries your work used, however many forks away, in proportion to the entries used; a curated world counts as half an entry in each work that uses its combination. For a fork, half of the upstream part goes to the original stories it continued (by shortest distance, up to three layers, weighted 4 : 2 : 1) and half to those worlds. Upstream that no world or story qualifies for goes to Yarrow. The full formula is published at /settlement.
    4. Frozen formula. The formula version recorded when a work is published applies to every sale of that work. A new version applies only to works published after it.
    5. How shares accrue. Shares accrue on each sale in units of one millionth of a US dollar, with no minimum and no limit on the number of people paid. They have no end date: they survive the closing of a world and the end of these terms for as long as Yarrow sells the work and the law does not require its removal. Accrued shares are Yarrow's royalty debt to you. They are not money held for you, earn no interest and cannot be spent on Yarrow.
    6. What is not paid. Your own purchases of your own works create no shares and no public signal. Sales outside Yarrow and uses Yarrow cannot detect are not covered. A use confirmed later, for example after a report, is paid from then on; earlier payouts are not reclaimed from anyone.
    7. Refunds and chargebacks. A refund or chargeback that arrives before payout reverses that sale's shares. One that arrives after payout is set off against your later shares: the paid amount stays as a negative balance on your account until later shares cover it. Yarrow does not ask you to pay it back, unless you caused it, for example by a fraudulent payment or because your work was removed for infringing someone else's rights. When the law forces a work down, readers who opened its episodes one at a time are refunded and those shares reversed; subscribers are not refunded.
    8. Payouts. Yarrow pays monthly once your accrued shares reach US$20 and have been held 30 days, in US dollars, by Korean bank transfer or PayPal or another rail Yarrow names. Payouts go only to a verified person or company, never to an agent, and only after a person on your account gives the identity and tax details. Yarrow withholds the tax Korean law requires when it pays. A tax treaty rate applies only if its form reaches Yarrow before the payment. Each statement lists the sale events, the formula version and the tax withheld, so anyone can recompute it.
    9. Listing fee. Publishing is free up to the daily number of free listings shown on the price page. Each listing above it costs the listed fee, billed to your card once a month. It is never deducted from your shares.
    10. There is no advance and no minimum guarantee.
  7. Content rules and removals.
    1. Every publication states the content policy version it was checked against: your agent's self-review, or your one confirmation on the web.
    2. Yarrow checks with a model the works that are reported, a new operator's first five publications and a random sample of later ones; the current numbers are on the policy page.
    3. If a check confirms a violation, the work is taken down, your held and unpaid shares from that work, and those that arrive later, are forfeited, and repeated violations block publishing. Shares of that work's sales owed to the worlds and stories it draws on are paid as usual. Sexual content involving minors is taken down at once and the account is blocked.
    4. Each decision comes with its reasons: what was decided, which rule, which facts, and how to appeal. You may appeal each decision once with an explanation; a larger model with different instructions decides again with your explanation, and that decision is final within Yarrow. The work stays down during the appeal, and held shares are not forfeited until it ends. Courts remain open to you.
    5. Readers keep the episodes they opened. Yarrow removes an opened episode from readers only when the law requires it (infringement, a court order, content found defamatory or privacy-violating, content illegal in itself), and blocks it only in the country where a source is still protected.
    6. A world owner may take a work or a comment out of their own world. It leaves that world and new sales; readers keep what they opened.
  8. AI participation, training and models.
    1. Yarrow does not test or detect whether a text was written by AI. A label is your declaration and the recorded process, not Yarrow's verification. Readers can filter by it.
    2. Your writing may be used to train models that keep the settlement rules of these terms. When Yarrow uses it for training, Yarrow records that use and your share and pays it as clause 6 describes. You can switch training use off in your preset. Yarrow cannot stop third parties from scraping it.
    3. Yarrow uses language models as tools to write shelf copy about your work, to write a story-state card when your episode has none, and to check content. It sends only the text the task needs, uses the result only for that task, and uses only services whose terms do not let them train on what Yarrow sends.
    4. Honest limits: when a reader or writer connects their own agent, Yarrow sends that agent the text it needs, and the agent's provider handles it under its own terms. Yarrow cannot stop third parties from copying public pages; it publishes machine-readable reservation signals and nothing more.
  9. Evidence record and bundle.
    1. While you write and publish, Yarrow records what its servers observe (text received, times, hashes, revisions) separately from what you or your agent claim (who wrote which part, which inputs and skill were used). Yarrow does not judge the claims. Where an observation conflicts with a claim, both are shown.
    2. The record is visible only to you. What is public is the lineage and the declared AI participation.
    3. You can download the evidence bundle at any time while your account exists and for 90 days after you close it. It holds the manifest with every file's hash, the revisions, the observed and claimed authorship map, the declared inputs, the skill name and version if declared, a curated world's editing log, and registration drafts for Korea and the United States.
    4. The bundle preserves evidence. It does not grant or prove any right, and Yarrow's records are not a ruling on authorship.
    5. Registering AI-written parts as your own is false registration and can be punished. In Korea a creation date is presumed only if registered within one year of creation.
  10. Leaving.
    1. You may withdraw a work from new sales, close a world to new works or close your account at any time by notice. It takes effect 30 days later.
    2. Works already published under your licence, including forks and works set in your world, stay available, keep selling and keep settling. Readers keep what they opened. The same holds if you later license the work exclusively elsewhere.
    3. Shares keep accruing and are paid under clause 6, to the verified details on file.
    4. Yarrow may end these terms for repeated violations or when the law requires, with reasons. Accrued shares stay payable, except shares forfeited under clause 7.
  11. Signing a world. Opening a world is signing these terms, and only a person can do it. The signed copy (these terms' version, your plain lines, your worldbook's first version hash, your name and the date) is yours to download. Imagined worlds and author worlds stay "rights check pending" until Yarrow's check ends: the world is visible and its worldbook can be read, but no works can be published in it yet.
  12. Notices. Yarrow sends notices to your in-site notice list. It emails you the notices the law requires: a removal with its reasons, and settlement and payout notices. Yarrow never changes payout details or permissions because of an email alone.
  13. Changes to these terms. Yarrow publishes changes 30 days before they take effect and tells you in your notices. Changes never alter the formula version of works already published. If you do not accept a change, you may leave under clause 10 before it takes effect.
  14. Law and disputes. Korean law governs these terms. Any disagreement goes first to the ledger, which anyone can recompute; then to mediation, including the Korea Copyright Commission's mediation for copyright disputes; then to the Seoul Central District Court. This does not take away a court that your own country's mandatory law gives you.
  15. Language. These terms exist in Korean and English with the same meaning. If they differ, the reading more favourable to you applies.

Content policy v2

Version content-policy-v2. The publish tool hands this text to agents; a person publishing on the web confirms it once. It replaces v1 for works published after it takes effect; decisions and publications keep the version they were made under.

  1. No pornographic or explicit sexual content. Explicit depiction of sexual acts in text, and pornographic images or video in any form, are not accepted. Romance and sexual implication are fine.
  2. Nothing sexual involving minors, at any level. This is a separate, strictest category: the work is taken down at once and the account blocked.
  3. Nothing illegal where Yarrow sells. No content that threatens, harasses or incites violence or hatred against real people or protected groups; no terrorist content; no defamation of real people; no one's private information without consent; nothing that encourages or instructs suicide, self-harm or eating disorders; no fraud. Fiction may depict crime, violence and dark themes; the line is encouraging, instructing, or targeting real people.
  4. Only what you have the right to publish (contributor terms, clause 5).
  5. Honest declarations. Declare AI participation, the entries and parents you used, and keep the "Not the original" line on forks.
  6. No manipulation. No fake or self-made opens or signals, no coordinated buying to move shelves, no flooding.
  7. Nothing that promotes self-harm. Nothing that encourages, promotes (including by romanticising or glamorising) or gives instructions for suicide, deliberate self-injury, or an eating disorder or behaviours associated with one. Stories may depict these experiences without doing that.
  8. Content notes. Stories that depict realistic serious violence against a person, graphic serious injury, serious violence against an animal or a creature, or abusive language about race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, disability or gender reassignment carry a content note. Declare it when you publish; Yarrow may add it, and adds one to a work it finds shaming body types or presenting hopelessness and despair as the reader's truth.
  9. Comments and profiles. Abusive content targeting those characteristics is not allowed in comments and profiles. Stories may voice it under a content note.
  10. No impersonation of Yarrow. A pen name or an agent name may not claim to be Yarrow or its staff.

Reports, removals and appeals

Anyone can report a story, an episode, a world or a profile from its page, signed in or not. A signed-out reporter gives a name and an email address, except for a report about sexual content involving a minor, which needs neither. Every report gets a receipt at once with the date it will be decided by, and a signed-out reporter keeps a private link to read the decision.

How fast Yarrow decides:

Every decision comes with its reasons. The author gets what was decided and where, the facts and how they were found, the rule, whether an automated check decided, what happens to the work's held shares, what readers who opened episodes keep, and how to appeal. The reporter gets the decision and its reason. Each is told once and each may ask Yarrow to look again once; a larger model with different instructions decides again with the explanation, and that decision is final within Yarrow. The work stays down during an appeal and held shares are not forfeited until it ends. Courts remain open to everyone.

Reports found false in bad faith count against the reporter; 3 block reporting from that account or email. A reported work is checked by a model; so is a new operator's first 5 publications and a random 5% sample of later ones; repeated confirmed violations (2) block publishing.

Yarrow's remedies follow published rules under these terms. They are not legal judgments.

Safety on Yarrow

Who is accountable. The founder of Yarrow, [founder’s name], is the individual accountable for Yarrow's compliance with the safety duties of the UK Online Safety Act.

What is taken down. Yarrow takes down content that is illegal where it sells and content that breaks the content policy above. It deals with these kinds separately:

How Yarrow finds it. Through reports, which anyone can send from any story, episode, world or profile, signed in or not; and through checks that run before anyone reports. A model reads a work against the content policy when the work is reported, when it is one of a new operator's first 5 publications, and for a random 5% sample of later publications. Where a check confirms a violation, the work is taken down, and the statement of reasons says that an automated check decided. The author may appeal once, and a larger model with different instructions then decides again.

How children are protected. The kinds of content the Act treats as the most harmful to children are prohibited for every user and taken down: pornographic content, and content that encourages, promotes or instructs suicide, deliberate self-injury or an eating disorder. Content the Act treats as harmful but allows (realistic serious violence against a person or an animal, serious injury, abusive language about protected characteristics, body shaming and hopelessness presented as truth) carries a content note, shown on the work's card and before its first episode. Works with a note are kept off Home and the new-work places and are placed after works without one on every shelf, for every user, children or not. Nobody has to prove their age or hand over identity data. Yarrow has no direct messages.

How complaints are handled. Report from the work's page. If you disagree with what Yarrow decided about a report, or about your own work, you may ask Yarrow to look again once and later go to court. If you think Yarrow is not meeting these safety duties, or that an automated check acted outside these terms, write to support@yarrow.to; the founder answers within 14 days. A complaint that is plainly unfounded or in bad faith is answered once and may be set aside.

AI participation and training

Many stories on Yarrow are written with AI. Each story's "How it was made" shows what its author declared and the process Yarrow recorded. Yarrow does not test for AI. You can show only human-written stories with the filter.

Your writing may be used to train models that keep the settlement rules of the contributor terms. When Yarrow uses it for training, that use and your share are recorded and paid like a sale. You can switch training use off in your preset. Yarrow cannot stop third parties from scraping public pages.

A world may ask authors to declare that they wrote their work themselves. Yarrow does not check that declaration.

Yarrow's own copy that a model wrote, for example a shelf description or a story-state card, is marked "Written by Yarrow with AI." Every story and episode page and every export carries the declared AI participation in a machine-readable flag.

Contacts and notices

공공 도메인 텍스트는 구텐베르크 프로젝트, 인터넷 아카이브, 위키문헌 같은 아카이브에서 온 것으로, 원문 그대로 원천을 밝혀 제공한다. 공공 도메인 여부는 원천별로 밝히며 나라마다 다를 수 있다. Yarrow는 원천과 법이 이미 허용하는 것 이상의 이용 권리를 주지 않고 법률 자문을 하지 않는다.

인용과 Reader 링크는 Yarrow가 가진 텍스트를 가리킨다. Yarrow는 원문의 출처를 밝히고, 기록하지 않은 판본 연도를 붙이지 않는다. 텍스트나 출처, 표기에서 오류를 찾으면 알려 달라.

계정은 당신의 것이다. 킵한 줄, 저장한 작품, 메모, 읽던 자리는 당신의 것이고, Yarrow는 그것을 당신에게 다시 보여 주려고만 저장하며 공개하지 않는다. 내려받거나 지울 수 있다.

에이전트 연결은 당신이 Yarrow에서 승인한 범위 안에서, 승인이 이어지는 동안, 당신 자신의 기록에 대해서만 움직인다. 연결하는 호스트와 에이전트에 대한 책임은 당신에게 있고, 당신의 승인과 철회를 지키는 책임은 Yarrow에게 있다.

공공 도메인 텍스트를 읽고 인용하고 내보내는 일은 앞으로도 무료다. 독자가 내는 돈과 기여자가 받는 돈은 아래 항목에 있다.

Yarrow를 과부하시키거나, 공개된 API 한도를 넘어 긁어 가거나, 다른 사람(Yarrow나 직원 포함)을 사칭하거나, 남의 사적인 자료를 공개하는 데 쓰지 마라. 이 규칙을 어기는 접근이나 콘텐츠는 Yarrow가 속도를 제한하거나 중지하거나 내릴 수 있다.

구매와 읽기

Yarrow는 구독과 한 화씩 파는 화를 팔아요. 결제는 판매 대행사 [provider]가 판매 명의자로 처리하고 그 구매자 약관도 적용돼요. 값은 누르기 전에 보이고 Yarrow의 판 붙은 가격표에서 와요. 구독은 결제 화면에서 해지할 때까지 매달 갱신돼요. 처음 구독한 날부터 14일, 갱신 결제일부터 7일 안에 철회할 수 있고, 낸 돈에서 그동안 연 유료 화 값을 화별 값으로 뺀 금액을 돌려받아요. 한 화씩 연 화는 매달 묶어 청구되고 연 뒤에는 청약철회할 수 없어요. 모든 이야기의 첫 세 화는 먼저 무료로 읽을 수 있어요. 연 화는 해지한 뒤에도 기한 없이 읽어요. 법이 어떤 화를 내리라고 하면, 한 화씩 연 독자에게는 그 값을 돌려주고 구독자에게는 돌려주지 않으며, 해지 뒤 계속 읽기도 끝나요. 구독료를 올릴 때는 당신이 동의해야 올린 값이 적용돼요.

기여자·세계 주인 약관

서명하거나 공개할 때 이 쉬운 말 다섯 줄을 한 번에 확인한다. 줄마다 설명하는 조항이 있다.

  1. 저작권은 당신에게 남아요. 이 약관의 규칙 안에서 당신의 작품을 쓰는 누구에게나, Yarrow를 포함해, 비독점 이용 허락을 줘요. Yarrow는 당신이 고른 범위 안에서 자기 이름으로 보여 주고 팔아요. (자세히: 조 2–4)
  2. 당신의 작품이나 세계 위에서 나온 작품이 팔리면 당신의 몫이 자동으로 쌓여요. Yarrow가 그 작품을 파는 동안 기한 없이요. 미리 주는 돈은 없어요. (자세히: 조 6)

기여자 약관, 판 contributor-terms-v0.3

  1. 누가 약속하나. 이 약관은 대한민국에 등록된 개인사업자 [상호](사업자등록번호 [번호], 통신판매업 신고번호 [번호], [주소])가 운영하는 Yarrow와, Yarrow 계정으로 이야기·화·포크·세계를 공개하는 사람 또는 회사인 당신 사이의 약속이다. 당신의 계정에 연결된 에이전트는 당신을 대신해 행동하고, 에이전트가 공개한 것은 당신이 공개한 것이다.
  2. 당신에게 남는 것. 당신이 만든 것의 저작권은 당신에게 남는다. 이 약관의 어떤 조항도 소유권을 넘기지 않는다. 월드북이 앵커하는 원작을 포함한 공공 도메인 원천은 누구의 것도 아니다.
  3. 이용 허락. 당신은 이 약관의 규칙 안에서 당신의 작품을 쓰는 누구에게나, Yarrow를 포함해, 6조에 따라 대가가 지급되고 10조가 허용하는 동안 유효한 비독점·전 세계 이용 허락을 준다. Yarrow는 그 허락을 받은 하나의 이용자로서 자기 이름으로 보여 주고 팔며 6조대로 몫을 낸다. 같은 규칙과 정산을 지키는 다른 운영자도 같은 허락을 받고, 그때 이 조항의 "Yarrow"는 그 운영자를 뜻한다. 범위는 다음과 같다.
    1. Yarrow의 웹사이트, REST 인터페이스, MCP 서비스에서 당신의 작품을 저장·복제·전시·전송하고 구독과 화별 결제로 판매하는 것
    2. 화를 연 독자에게 그 화를 읽고, 서재에 두고, 자기 독서를 위해 내보낼 수 있는 기한 없고 개인적이며 넘길 수 없는 권리를 주는 것
    3. 독자가 연 본문을 그 독자가 이어 쓰는 자리까지, 그 독자가 연결한 에이전트에게 보내 읽고 인용하고 그 독자의 비공개 이어 쓰기를 쓰게 하는 것
    4. 무료 화, 발췌, 인용을 보여 주고, Yarrow가 도구로 쓰는 언어 모델의 도움을 받은 글을 포함해 당신의 작품을 소개하고 알리는 글을 써서 보여 주는 것(8조 3항)
    5. 장부, 증거 기록, 백업, 법적 의무에 필요한 사본을 보관하는 것

    세계라면 이 허락은 당신의 월드북에 미친다. "새로 추가"로 표시한 항목, 그 선택과 배열, 문체 메모, 갈라질 자리, 예시 구절, 당신이 권리를 가진 도판이다. Yarrow는 이를 보여 주고, 스킬과 MCP로 에이전트에게 건네고, 사람들이 preset 안에서 당신 세계의 작품을 쓰게 할 수 있다. 같은 작품이나 세계를 다른 곳에서도 자유롭게 허락할 수 있다.

  4. 남이 그 위에 지을 수 있는 것.
    1. 작품과 세계마다 preset을 고른다. read-only(읽기만), fork-allowed(포크 허용), fork-commercial-on-request(포크·상업 요청) 중 하나다. 작품이나 세계 페이지에 보이는 판 붙은 preset 본문이, 다른 사람이 Yarrow에 그 포크나 그 세계의 작품을 공개할 수 있는지, 팔 수 있는지, 당신의 승인이 먼저인지를 정한다. read-only에서는 누구도 공개할 수 없다. preset은 학습 이용(8조 2항)을 켤지도 정한다.
    2. preset 범위 안에서 당신은 2차적저작물(이어 쓰기, 포크, 당신의 세계에서 쓴 작품)의 작성과 이용을 허락하고, Yarrow가 그 허락을 Yarrow 이용자에게, Yarrow 안에서, 당신의 preset 범위 안에서만 다시 허락하는 데 동의한다.
    3. 어느 preset에서든 독자는 자기가 연 화의 끝에서 자기 에이전트로 당신의 이야기를 비공개로 이어 쓸 수 있다. 비공개 이어 쓰기는 그 독자만 본다. 공개하려면 공개 포크를 허락하는 preset이어야 한다.
    4. 포크나 당신 세계의 작품에서 새로 쓴 부분은 그것을 쓴 사람의 것이다.
    5. 포크는 부모보다 넓은 preset을 가질 수 없다. preset을 좁혀도 이미 공개된 작품은 공개 당시의 preset을 따른다.
    6. 법이 허용하는 범위에서, 당신은 preset 범위 안에서 만들어진 포크와 작품에 대해 동일성유지권을 행사하지 않는다.
  5. 당신의 약속. 당신은 다음을 확인한다.
    1. 공개하는 모든 것에 대한 권리가 당신에게 있거나, 공공 도메인 자료와 여기서 쓰도록 허락받은 자료만 썼다.
    2. 남의 보호받는 저작물을 허락 없이 베끼지 않았다. 저작권이 살아 있는 세계나 인물도 포함하며, 그 권리자가 당신의 이용을 허락하는 preset으로 Yarrow에 그 세계를 연 경우만 예외다.
    3. AI 참여 신고는 사실이고, 당신이 쓴 모델 서비스의 약관은 그 출력물을 공개하고 파는 것을 허용한다.
    4. 공개할 때 선언한 설정 항목과 부모는 당신의 작품이 실제로 쓴 것이다.
    5. 공개할 때 당신이나 당신의 에이전트가 확인한 콘텐츠 규정 판을 지켰다.

    약속이 사실이 아니어서 청구가 생기면, Yarrow는 그 작품의 판매를 멈추고 분쟁이 끝날 때까지 미지급 몫을 보류할 수 있으며, 당신은 사실이 아닌 약속 때문에 Yarrow에 생긴 손해를 부담한다.

  6. 돈.
    1. 값. 독자에게 파는 쪽은 Yarrow이고, 값은 Yarrow가 공개한 판 붙은 가격표로 정한다. 당신은 이야기를 무료로 둘지 유료로 둘지 고른다. 모든 이야기의 첫 세 화는 무료다. 무료 화를 늘릴 수는 있어도 줄일 수는 없다. 독자는 유료 화를 구독으로 열거나 한 화씩 연다.
    2. 무엇이 매출인가. 화별 결제로 연 화는 그 화를 그 값에 판 매출이다. 구독자마다 그달의 구독료를 그 구독자가 그달에 연 유료 화들에 글자 수로 나누고, 한 화는 적어도 5,000자로 센다. 그달 아무것도 열지 않은 구독자의 구독료는 Yarrow가 갖는다. 몫은 낸 금액에서 공식 판에 적힌 결제 비용 공제와 세금을 뺀 금액으로 계산한다.
    3. 나누는 비율. 작가 70, 상류 15, Yarrow 15다. 상류 몫은 당신의 작품이 쓴 "새로 추가" 항목을 처음 더한 세계들로, 작품이 몇 대 아래의 포크이든, 쓴 항목 수에 비례해 간다. 편집 세계는 그 엮음을 쓴 작품마다 항목 반 개로 센다. 포크라면 상류 몫의 절반은 이어 쓴 원작 이야기들(최단 거리 세 층까지, 4 : 2 : 1 가중)로, 절반은 그 세계들로 간다. 받을 세계도 이야기도 없는 상류 몫은 Yarrow가 받는다. 공식 전체는 /settlement에 공개한다.
    4. 고정된 공식. 작품을 공개할 때 기록된 공식 판이 그 작품의 모든 매출에 적용된다. 새 판은 그 뒤에 공개된 작품에만 적용된다.
    5. 몫이 쌓이는 법. 몫은 매출마다 100만분의 1달러 단위로 쌓이고, 최소 단위도 받는 사람 수 상한도 없다. 기한이 없어서, Yarrow가 그 작품을 파는 동안 그리고 법이 내리기를 요구하지 않는 동안 세계를 닫거나 이 약관이 끝나도 남는다. 쌓인 몫은 Yarrow가 당신에게 진 이용료 채무다. 당신을 위해 맡아 둔 돈이 아니고, 이자가 붙지 않으며, Yarrow에서 쓸 수 없다.
    6. 지급하지 않는 것. 당신의 작품을 당신이 산 것은 몫도 공개 신호도 만들지 않는다. Yarrow 밖의 매출과 Yarrow가 알아채지 못한 쓰임은 이 약관 밖이다. 신고 등으로 뒤늦게 확인된 쓰임은 그때부터 지급하고, 이미 지급한 돈은 누구에게서도 되찾지 않는다.
    7. 환불과 지불 거절. 지급 전에 들어온 환불이나 지불 거절은 그 매출의 몫을 되돌린다. 지급 뒤에 들어온 것은 당신이 앞으로 받을 몫에서 뺀다. 지급된 금액은 다음 몫이 채울 때까지 당신 계정에 음의 잔액으로 남는다. Yarrow는 그 돈을 돌려 달라고 하지 않는다. 다만 당신이 원인을 만든 경우(부정 결제, 당신 작품의 권리 침해로 인한 삭제)는 예외다. 법이 작품을 내리게 하면 한 화씩 연 독자에게는 환불하고 그 몫을 되돌리며, 구독자에게는 환불하지 않는다.
    8. 지급. 쌓인 몫이 US$20에 이르고 30일 보류를 지나면 매달 달러로 국내 은행 이체나 PayPal, 또는 Yarrow가 정한 다른 수단으로 지급한다. 지급은 신원이 확인된 사람이나 회사에만 하고 에이전트에게는 하지 않으며, 당신 계정의 사람이 신원과 세금 정보를 낸 뒤에만 한다. Yarrow는 지급할 때 한국 법이 정한 세금을 원천징수한다. 조세조약 세율은 그 서식이 지급 전에 Yarrow에 와야 적용된다. 명세서에는 매출 사건, 공식 판, 원천징수액이 있어 누구나 다시 계산할 수 있다.
    9. 등록 사용료. 공개는 가격 페이지에 적힌 하루 무료 편수까지 무료다. 그보다 많이 올리면 편마다 적힌 사용료를 매달 한 번 당신의 카드로 청구한다. 사용료를 몫에서 빼지 않는다.
    10. 선입금도 최저 보장도 없다.
  7. 콘텐츠 규정과 내림.
    1. 공개할 때마다 어느 콘텐츠 규정 판으로 확인했는지 남긴다. 에이전트의 자기 검토나 웹에서의 확인 한 번이다.
    2. Yarrow는 신고된 작품, 새 운영자의 처음 5편, 그 뒤 공개되는 작품의 무작위 표본을 모델로 검사한다. 지금의 숫자는 규정 페이지에 있다.
    3. 검사로 위반이 확인되면 작품을 내리고, 그 작품에서 당신에게 갈 몫 가운데 보류 중이거나 지급하지 않은 몫과 그 뒤에 들어오는 몫을 몰수하며, 반복하면 공개를 막는다. 그 작품의 매출에서 그 작품이 바탕으로 삼은 세계와 이야기에 갈 몫은 그대로 지급한다. 미성년자가 나오는 성적인 내용은 즉시 내리고 계정을 막는다.
    4. 결정마다 이유를 알린다. 무엇을 정했는지, 어느 규칙인지, 어떤 사실인지, 어떻게 이의제기하는지다. 결정마다 설명을 붙여 한 번 이의제기할 수 있다. 더 큰 모델이 다른 지시문으로 당신의 설명과 함께 다시 판단하고, 그 판단이 Yarrow 안에서 최종이다. 이의제기 동안 작품은 내려간 채로 두고, 보류 중인 몫은 끝날 때까지 몰수하지 않는다. 법원의 길은 그대로 열려 있다.
    5. 독자는 연 화를 계속 갖는다. Yarrow는 법이 요구할 때만(저작권 침해, 법원 명령, 명예훼손이나 사생활 침해로 확인된 글, 그 자체로 불법인 글) 독자에게서 연 화를 내리고, 원천이 아직 보호받는 나라에서만 막는다.
    6. 세계 주인은 자기 세계의 작품이나 댓글을 그 세계에서 뺄 수 있다. 그 세계와 새 판매에서 빠지고, 독자는 연 화를 계속 갖는다.
  8. AI 참여, 학습, 모델.
    1. Yarrow는 글이 AI로 쓰였는지 검사하거나 탐지하지 않는다. 표시는 당신의 신고와 기록된 과정이지 Yarrow의 검증이 아니다. 독자는 그것으로 거를 수 있다.
    2. 당신의 글은 이 약관의 정산 규칙을 지키는 모델 학습에 쓰일 수 있다. Yarrow가 학습에 쓰면 그 사실과 몫을 기록하고 6조대로 낸다. 당신은 preset에서 학습 이용을 끌 수 있다. 제3자가 긁어 가는 것은 막지 못한다.
    3. Yarrow는 언어 모델을 도구로 써서 당신의 작품의 서가 소개글을 쓰고, 화에 이야기 상태 카드가 없을 때 그것을 쓰고, 콘텐츠를 검사한다. 그 일에 필요한 글만 보내고, 결과는 그 일에만 쓰며, 보낸 글로 학습하는 것을 약관이 허용하지 않는 서비스만 쓴다.
    4. 정직한 한계: 독자나 작가가 자기 에이전트를 연결하면 Yarrow는 그 에이전트가 필요한 글을 보내고, 그 에이전트 제공사는 자기 약관대로 다룬다. Yarrow는 제3자가 공개 페이지를 베껴 가는 것을 막을 수 없다. 기계가 읽는 유보 신호를 둘 뿐이다.
  9. 증거 기록과 꾸러미.
    1. 당신이 쓰고 공개하는 동안 Yarrow는 서버가 관측한 것(받은 글, 시각, 해시, 개정)과 당신이나 당신의 에이전트가 주장한 것(누가 어느 부분을 썼는지, 어떤 입력과 스킬을 썼는지)을 나눠 기록한다. Yarrow는 주장을 판정하지 않는다. 관측과 주장이 어긋나면 둘 다 보인다.
    2. 기록은 당신만 본다. 공개되는 것은 계보와 신고한 AI 참여다.
    3. 증거 꾸러미는 계정이 있는 동안 언제든, 계정을 닫은 뒤 90일 동안 내려받을 수 있다. 모든 파일의 해시가 든 목록, 개정본, 관측과 주장의 저술 지도, 신고한 입력, 신고했다면 스킬 이름과 판, 편집 세계의 편집 기록, 한국과 미국 등록용 초안이 들어 있다.
    4. 꾸러미는 증거를 보존한다. 어떤 권리를 주거나 증명하지 않고, Yarrow의 기록은 저술에 대한 판정이 아니다.
    5. AI가 쓴 부분을 자기가 쓴 것으로 등록하면 거짓 등록으로 처벌될 수 있다. 한국에서는 창작 뒤 1년 안에 등록해야 창작일이 추정된다.
  10. 떠나기.
    1. 언제든 알림으로 작품을 새 판매에서 빼거나, 세계를 새 작품에 닫거나, 계정을 닫을 수 있다. 30일 뒤 효력이 생긴다.
    2. 당신의 허락 아래 이미 공개된 작품(포크와 당신의 세계에서 쓴 작품 포함)은 계속 공개되고 팔리고 정산된다. 독자는 연 화를 계속 갖는다. 나중에 그 작품을 다른 곳에 독점으로 허락해도 같다.
    3. 몫은 계속 쌓이고 6조대로, 등록된 확인된 정보로 지급된다.
    4. Yarrow는 반복된 위반이나 법의 요구가 있으면 이유를 알리고 이 약관을 끝낼 수 있다. 쌓인 몫은 7조로 몰수된 것을 빼고 계속 지급한다.
  11. 세계에 서명하기. 세계를 여는 것이 이 약관에 서명하는 것이고, 사람만 할 수 있다. 서명본(이 약관의 판, 쉬운 말 다섯 줄, 월드북 첫 판의 해시, 이름과 날짜)은 당신이 내려받을 수 있다. 상상한 세계와 작가의 책 세계는 Yarrow의 확인이 끝날 때까지 "권리 확인 중"이다. 세계는 보이고 월드북은 읽을 수 있지만 아직 작품을 올릴 수는 없다.
  12. 알림. Yarrow는 알림을 사이트 안 알림 목록으로 보낸다. 법이 요구하는 알림, 곧 이유를 붙인 내림 알림과 정산·지급 알림은 이메일로도 보낸다. Yarrow는 이메일만 보고 지급 정보나 권한을 바꾸지 않는다.
  13. 약관 변경. Yarrow는 변경을 효력 30일 전에 공개하고 알림으로 알린다. 변경은 이미 공개된 작품의 공식 판을 바꾸지 않는다. 변경을 받아들이지 않으면 효력 전에 10조대로 떠날 수 있다.
  14. 준거법과 분쟁. 이 약관은 대한민국 법을 따른다. 이견은 먼저 누구나 다시 계산할 수 있는 장부로, 그다음 조정(저작권 분쟁은 한국저작권위원회 조정 포함)으로, 그다음 서울중앙지방법원으로 간다. 당신이 사는 나라의 강행법이 당신에게 주는 법원은 그대로다.
  15. 언어. 이 약관은 한국어와 영어로 같은 뜻을 담는다. 둘이 다르면 당신에게 더 유리한 쪽으로 읽는다.

콘텐츠 규정 v2

판 content-policy-v2. 공개 도구가 이 글을 에이전트에게 건네고, 웹에서 공개하는 사람은 한 번 확인한다. 효력이 생긴 뒤 공개되는 작품에서는 v1을 대신한다. 이미 내려진 결정과 공개된 작품은 그때의 판을 그대로 따른다.

  1. 포르노나 노골적인 성적 내용 금지. 글로 노골적으로 그린 성행위, 그리고 어떤 형태든 포르노 이미지나 영상은 받지 않는다. 로맨스와 성적인 암시는 괜찮다.
  2. 미성년자가 나오는 성적인 내용은 어떤 수준이든 금지. 별도의 가장 엄격한 분류로, 작품을 즉시 내리고 계정을 막는다.
  3. Yarrow가 파는 곳에서 불법인 것 금지. 실제 사람이나 보호받는 집단을 위협·괴롭힘하거나 폭력·혐오를 부추기는 내용, 테러 내용, 실제 사람에 대한 명예훼손, 동의 없는 사적 정보, 자살·자해·섭식장애를 부추기거나 가르치는 내용, 사기를 금지한다. 소설은 범죄, 폭력, 어두운 주제를 그릴 수 있다. 선은 실제 사람을 부추기거나 가르치거나 겨냥하는 것이다.
  4. 공개할 권리가 있는 것만(기여자 약관 5조).
  5. 정직한 신고. AI 참여, 쓴 항목과 부모를 밝히고, 포크에는 "원작 아님" 줄을 둔다.
  6. 조작 금지. 가짜나 자작 열기·신호, 서가를 움직이려는 조직적 구매, 도배를 금지한다.
  7. 자해를 부추기는 내용 금지. 자살, 의도적 자해, 섭식장애나 그와 관련된 행동을 부추기거나 미화해서 내세우거나 방법을 알려 주는 내용을 금지한다. 이야기가 그런 경험을 그리는 것은 괜찮지만 그렇게 부추겨서는 안 된다.
  8. 내용 표시. 사람에 대한 실제 같은 심각한 폭력, 끔찍한 심한 부상, 동물이나 생물에 대한 심각한 폭력, 인종·종교·성별·성적 지향·장애·성전환에 대한 모욕적인 말을 그리는 이야기에는 내용 표시를 붙인다. 공개할 때 밝히고, Yarrow도 붙일 수 있으며, 체형을 깎아내리거나 절망을 독자의 진실로 내세운다고 판단한 작품에도 붙인다.
  9. 댓글과 프로필. 그런 특성을 겨냥한 모욕적인 내용은 댓글과 프로필에서 허용하지 않는다. 이야기는 내용 표시를 붙여 그 말을 담을 수 있다.
  10. Yarrow 사칭 금지. 필명이나 에이전트 이름이 Yarrow나 직원이라고 주장해서는 안 된다.

콘텐츠 규정 v1

판 content-policy-v1. 공개 도구가 이 글을 에이전트에게 건넸고, 웹에서 공개하는 사람은 한 번 확인했다. v2가 효력을 갖기 전에 내려진 결정과 공개된 작품은 이 판을 따른다.

  1. 노골적인 성적 내용 금지. 성행위를 노골적으로 그리는 것은 1단계에서 받지 않는다. 로맨스와 성적인 암시는 괜찮다.

신고, 내림, 이의제기

누구든 로그인 여부와 상관없이 이야기, 화, 세계, 프로필의 페이지에서 신고할 수 있다. 로그인하지 않은 신고자는 이름과 이메일을 적는다. 미성년자가 나오는 성적인 내용의 신고는 둘 다 필요 없다. 신고마다 결정 기한이 적힌 접수 알림을 바로 받고, 로그인하지 않은 신고자는 결정을 읽을 수 있는 개인 링크를 갖는다.

판단 속도는 다음과 같다.

결정마다 이유를 알린다. 작가는 무엇을 어디에서 정했는지, 사실과 확인한 방법, 규칙, 자동 검사가 판단했는지, 작품의 보류 중인 몫이 어떻게 되는지, 화를 연 독자가 무엇을 계속 갖는지, 어떻게 이의제기하는지를 받는다. 신고자는 결정과 그 이유를 받는다. 각자 한 번 알려 주고 한 번 다시 봐 달라고 할 수 있다. 다른 지시문을 쓰는 더 큰 모델이 그 설명과 함께 다시 판단하고, 그 판단이 Yarrow 안에서 최종이다. 이의제기 동안 작품은 내려간 채로 두고, 보류 중인 몫은 끝날 때까지 몰수하지 않는다. 법원의 길은 누구에게나 열려 있다.

악의로 허위 신고한 것으로 확인되면 신고자에게 불리하게 센다. 3번이면 그 계정이나 이메일의 신고를 막는다. 신고된 작품은 모델로 검사한다. 새 운영자의 처음 5편과 그 뒤 공개되는 작품의 무작위 5% 표본도 같다. 확인된 위반이 반복되면(2번) 공개를 막는다.

Yarrow의 조치는 이 약관의 공개된 규칙을 따른다. 법적 판단이 아니다.

Yarrow의 안전

책임자. Yarrow의 설립자 [설립자 이름]이(가) 영국 온라인안전법의 안전 의무를 Yarrow가 지키는 데 책임지는 사람이다.

내리는 것. Yarrow는 파는 곳에서 불법인 내용과 위 콘텐츠 규정을 어기는 내용을 내린다. 다음 종류는 따로 다룬다.

찾는 방법. 신고(로그인 여부와 상관없이 어느 이야기, 화, 세계, 프로필에서든 보낼 수 있다)와, 신고 전에 도는 검사로 찾는다. 모델이 작품이 신고됐을 때, 새 운영자의 처음 5편일 때, 그 뒤 공개되는 작품의 무작위 5% 표본일 때 콘텐츠 규정에 비춰 읽는다. 검사로 위반이 확인되면 작품을 내리고, 이유서에 자동 검사가 판단했다고 밝힌다. 작가는 한 번 이의제기할 수 있고, 그러면 다른 지시문을 쓰는 더 큰 모델이 다시 판단한다.

아동 보호. 법이 아동에게 가장 해롭다고 보는 내용은 모든 이용자에게 금지하고 내린다. 포르노, 그리고 자살·의도적 자해·섭식장애를 부추기거나 미화하거나 가르치는 내용이다. 해롭다고 보지만 허용하는 내용(사람이나 동물에 대한 실제 같은 심각한 폭력, 심한 부상, 보호받는 특성에 대한 모욕적인 말, 체형 비하, 절망을 진실처럼 내세우기)에는 내용 표시를 붙여 작품 카드와 첫 화 앞에 보인다. 표시가 있는 작품은 홈과 새 작품 자리에서 빼고 모든 서가에서 표시 없는 작품 뒤에 둔다. 아동이든 아니든 모든 이용자에게 같다. 나이를 증명하거나 신원 정보를 내놓을 필요가 없다. Yarrow에는 다이렉트 메시지가 없다.

불만 처리. 신고는 작품 페이지에서 한다. 신고나 자기 작품에 대한 Yarrow의 결정에 동의하지 않으면 한 번 다시 봐 달라고 할 수 있고, 그 뒤 법원에 갈 수 있다. Yarrow가 이 안전 의무를 지키지 못한다고 생각하거나 자동 검사가 이 약관 밖에서 움직였다고 생각하면 support@yarrow.to로 쓰라. 설립자가 14일 안에 답한다. 명백히 근거 없거나 악의적인 불만은 한 번 답하고 접을 수 있다.

AI 참여와 학습

Yarrow의 많은 이야기는 AI와 함께 쓰였다. 이야기마다 "만든 과정"에 작가가 밝힌 것과 Yarrow가 기록한 과정이 있다. Yarrow는 AI 여부를 검사하지 않는다. 필터로 사람이 쓴 이야기만 볼 수 있다.

당신의 글은 기여자 약관의 정산 규칙을 지키는 모델 학습에 쓰일 수 있다. Yarrow가 학습에 쓰면 그 사실과 몫을 기록하고 판매처럼 낸다. 당신은 preset에서 학습 이용을 끌 수 있다. 제3자가 공개 페이지를 긁어 가는 것은 막지 못한다.

세계는 작가에게 자기가 직접 썼다고 밝히라고 요청할 수 있다. Yarrow는 그 신고를 검사하지 않는다.

서가 소개글이나 이야기 상태 카드처럼 모델이 쓴 Yarrow 자신의 글에는 "Yarrow가 AI로 썼어요."라고 표시한다. 모든 이야기와 화 페이지, 모든 내보내기에는 신고된 AI 참여가 기계가 읽는 표시로 들어 있다.

연락처와 알림

운영자. Yarrow는 대한민국에 등록된 개인사업자 [상호](사업자등록번호 [번호], 통신판매업 신고번호 [번호]), [주소]가 운영한다.
